YOUTH GUIDANCE
MISSION STATEMENT

To provide alternatives of
hope for troubled youth
and their families through
caring relationships and
developmental opportunities
for their whole person, mental,
physical and spiritual.

WELCOME TO YOUTH GUIDANCE!

Youth Guidance was founded in 1977 with the purpose of guiding youth who are experiencing problems at home, at school or with the law and youth who have little or no relational or emotional support.

Youth Guidance matches “youth at risk” with mature Christian volunteers in a one-on-one mentorship program. The program aims to foster growth emotionally, socially, physically and spiritually through the difficult years of adolescence by offering each young person a mentorship commitment.

Youth Guidance volunteers meet weekly one-on-one with youth. Volunteers are also are given the opportunity to participate in a large group event once a month and take part in building meetings four times a year.

Mature, Christian volunteers are recruited, screened and given ongoing training and program supervision. Youth and volunteers are matched according to gender, interest, personality and location.

If you can set aside a few hours a week for an important young person, then working with Youth Guidance is for you!
We urge potential volunteers to get involved, because there is always a young person in need of a new friend!
