STREETLIGHT
MISSION STATEMENT

To share God’s love with
street kids through
friendships that support
protect and
enhance their lives.

WELCOME TO STREETLIGHT!

StreetLight’s vision was born in October 1992 with a goal to reach street orientated youth. This mobile drop-in center in Calgary’s downtown core is unique since it is a custom built fifth-wheel trailer featuring a safe and friendly environment for street kids.

Most of our street kids are “throw-a- ways” and are deeply hurt. They are struggling to survive. Sadly, 98% of the street kids who enter our doors come from abusive homes.

StreetLight’s purpose is to assist these kids in making the best decisions for their lives by building strong friendships with them and helping them in any way we can to better their lives. StreetLight strives to work together with other street orientated agencies as well as the community to better assist our kids in a positive lifestyle change.

StreetLight is making an impact on the lives of hundreds of street kids! One thing is for certain - there is a need for us to be out there in our city reaching these forgotten or often looked down upon youth... the ones who many would consider unlovable.

There are many kids in this city of ours
who are seeking someone who will honestly love and care for them. StreetLight meets young men and women who have been
through “hell on earth” as many of them
will describe it, and are facing the consequences of poor decisions made by
them, their parents or others in their lives.
