The Campus Life program and its staff are dependent on voluntary tax deductible donations from people who share our concern for teenagers. Staff are required to raise 100% of their salary as well as seek financial support for program run events and activities.

LORI DURKSEN - CAMPUS LIFE DIRECTOR

Every kid deserves the opportunity to hear about God. When I was new to high school, I got that opportunity by getting involved with Campus Life in my high school. It was on a ski trip during teacher's convention that God began to reveal the need I had for Him. Getting involved in the weekly clubs and building relationships with the Campus Life staff, volunteers and other students, not only made me feel accepted, it gave me a safe place to belong and showed me how much God loves me.

What junior or senior high school student in the city of Calgary doesn't deal with stuff like ~ drugs, violence, depression, low self-esteem, relationship problems and so many more day-to-day isJeffs? It breaks my heart to think that there are young people out there who have no one to listen to them or care. Everybody has someone who influences them! I want to be a positive influence in the lives of as many young people as I can.

LORIN FRIESEN - CAMPUS LIFE STAFF

I got involved with YFC in 1995 after spending a year as an intern youth pastor. It was through this year of ministry that I realized God had given me a real heart for the un-churched youth. I was living in the rural community of Carstairs, Alberta and it was amazing to me how many kids were just hanging around the streets late at night. God gave me a burden for these youth and led me to YFC Calgary, an organization through which I have been able to focus my energies & ministry on mainly un-churched youth. There have been many challenges along the way, but God continues to shower me with new opportunities to be involved in these young people's lives.

I love to share God's love with young people and see them experience God's forgiveness. I also love mentoring young people in leadership and spiritual growth. Working with youth is great because it gives us so much more time to be involved in their lives.
I love the relational aspect of my work with these young people and I consider it a real privilege to be involved in their lives. I have no doubt that God has called me to reach this generation of un-churched youth for Christ & I am continually
amazed that he uses me in his work of transforming lives.
